A thoughtful renovation of a 1950s residence originally designed by William Krisel, this Palm Springs project reimagines an iconic mid-century home as a warm and livable vacation retreat for a family of four. 

The design approach centered on preserving the clarity, optimism, and indoor-outdoor sensibility that define Krisel’s work, while introducing subtle updates to support modern life. Original elements were carefully preserved and restored, while new interventions were designed to feel quiet, seamless, and true to the spirit of the house. 

Finishes and furnishings were selected to complement the architecture, balancing clean lines with warmth, texture, and comfort. Throughout the home, spaces were designed to feel open, calm, and connected to the surrounding desert landscape.
